The Story of Jaan Ki Kasam

The movie is about how a family traveling by air meets with an accident. Tanvi is the only one who survives and starts to live on an isolated island where she meets Rajan. The story is about their love and survival as they grow up.

The movie begins with Kumar (Suresh Oberoi), a wealthy businessman who has a loving wife (Archana Puran Singh) and a daughter Tanvi (Saathi Ganguly). He decides to take his family on a vacation to Mauritius by a private plane. However, the plane crashes into the sea due to bad weather and everyone dies except Tanvi, who is rescued by a dolphin and taken to an uninhabited island.

On the island, Tanvi meets Rajan (Krishna), a young boy who was also a survivor of another plane crash. He was raised by an old man who died of illness. Rajan and Tanvi become friends and start to live together on the island. They learn to survive by fishing, hunting, and collecting fruits. They also discover the beauty of nature and their own feelings for each other.

Meanwhile, Kumar's brother Paras Seth (Raza Murad) takes over his business empire and becomes a ruthless tycoon. He also tries to woo Kumar's wife, who is unaware of his evil intentions. He hires Jagdish (Ranjeet), a mercenary, to find Tanvi and kill her so that he can inherit Kumar's wealth. Jagdish and his men track down the island where Tanvi and Rajan are living and try to capture them.

Tanvi and Rajan manage to escape from Jagdish's clutches and run into the jungle. They find a cave where they take shelter and express their love for each other. They also make a vow to each other that they will never leave the island and will always be together. They name the island Jaan Ki Kasam, meaning the promise of life.

However, their happiness is short-lived as Jagdish and his men find them again and attack them. Rajan fights bravely but gets wounded by a bullet. Tanvi also gets shot while trying to save him. They fall into the sea and are presumed dead by Jagdish, who leaves the island with his men.

But fate has other plans for Tanvi and Rajan. They are once again rescued by the dolphin and taken to another island where they are found by Sher Khan (Avtar Gill), a kind-hearted fisherman. He takes them to his home and nurses them back to health. He also tells them that he knows Kumar and that he is looking for them.

Tanvi and Rajan are overjoyed to hear this news and decide to go back to their family. However, they also feel sad to leave their island and their memories behind. They bid farewell to Sher Khan and the dolphin and board a ship that takes them to Mumbai.

In Mumbai, they are reunited with Kumar's wife, who is overjoyed to see them alive. She also tells them that Paras Seth has been arrested for his crimes and that Kumar's business has been restored. She welcomes them into her home and treats them as her own children.

Tanvi and Rajan are happy to be with their family but they also miss their island and their freedom. They realize that they belong to each other more than anyone else. They decide to elope and return to their island where they can live happily ever after.
